1. Controller

2. Hosting and server log files
When you visit our website, your browser automatically transmits data that is stored in server log files: IP address, date and time of access, page requested, amount of data transferred, referrer URL, and browser and operating system. Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in the secure and trouble-free operation of the website. Log files are deleted after 14 days.
We use the following service providers to operate and deliver the website, each as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR:
Hosting: Lovable Labs Incorporated, Stockholm, Sweden. The website is delivered via the infrastructure of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA.
Delivery of images and media: Cloudflare, Inc., San Francisco, USA (Cloudflare R2 storage and content delivery network).
Database and backend (storage of form data): Supabase, Inc., 970 Toa Payoh North #07-04, Singapore 318992, with processing in an AWS data centre in Ireland, EU (region eu-west-1).
Where providers are based in the USA or process data in the USA, transfers are based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (adequacy decision of the European Commission) or on EU standard contractual clauses under Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR.
Fonts are loaded locally from our own server; no connection to Google servers is made. We do not use analytics, statistics or marketing services.
3. Contact form
When you use our contact form, we process the data you provide: name, company or brand, business email address, country of origin, type of company, target markets, topic, brand and your message, as well as the selected language and the time of the enquiry. The purpose is to handle your enquiry and to initiate a possible business relationship.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract). The data is stored in our database (see section 2); it is also forwarded as an email notification to info@marabu-markenvertrieb.de. For sending emails we use the mailing service of Lovable Labs Incorporated, Stockholm, Sweden, as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR.
We delete your data 6 months after your enquiry has been finally dealt with, unless a business relationship arises and no statutory retention obligations apply.
4. Distribution check
If you request a detailed assessment after the distribution check, we process your name, company, brand and email address, your answers (brand stage, product category, target markets, goal), the resulting recommendation, the selected language and the time of submission. The purpose is to send you the assessment and to contact you.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. The data is stored in our database and forwarded as an email notification to info@marabu-markenvertrieb.de (mailing service see section 3). The retention period is the same as for the contact form (section 3).
5. Job applications
We accept applications by email to info@marabu-markenvertrieb.de. We process your details and documents to carry out the application procedure on the basis of Section 26 BDSG (German Federal Data Protection Act) or Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Your data is deleted 6 months after the application procedure has ended, unless you are hired or have consented to longer storage.
6. Local storage in the browser
The language is selected via the page address (German pages or pages under /en) and is not stored in your browser. Only when signing in to the internal administration area is a technically necessary sign-in key placed in local storage. In addition, our hosting sets the technically necessary cookie "__dpl" so that you receive the same version of the website during your visit (retention about 1 day), and our delivery service Cloudflare sets the cookie "__cf_bm" to protect against automated access (retention 30 minutes). The legal basis in each case is Section 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG (German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act).
7. Your rights
Subject to the statutory requirements, you have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) and data portability (Art. 20 GDPR). 9. Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is:
